Greetings from Sunny (and Sometimes Snowy) Cleveland!

My name is Amanda Hicken and I never believed in love at first sight until I met Cleveland in 2007.

So after living on the East Coast all our lives, my husband Scott and I packed up our mischievous cat Chloe and our comic book collection and decided to “flee to the Cleve.”

As I learned living in the DC region and Philadelphia, every city has its problems. However, after the infamous 2010 Forbes article rated Cleveland most miserable, I started this blog to clue others into the places, people and events that made me CHOOSE to move and live here.  Everything that has made me #happyinCLE for over 5 years.

When I’m not blogging about Cleveland, I enjoy my days as a media relations manager at PR Newswire and evenings as a PlayhouseSquare Partners board member, Cleveland Foodbank YP Pantry council member, and CLE+ Social Media Advisory Committee member.
