If your Etsy addiction is as bad as mine or you’ve ever attended a Stitch ‘n Bitch, you probably noticed that ladies tend to dominate the crafting world.
However, Mathias Noble King and Brit Charek, the founders of a new Cleveland craft show, are here to change that.
The first-ever Manly Mart, the Art Show for Dudes by Dudes will take over Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood from 12 to 6pm next Saturday, June 8.
From apparel and tools to cycling bags, nostalgia, watches, furniture and more, Manly Mart will spotlight handmade goods crafted exclusively by men. Vintage records, t-shirts and other collectables will also be showcased.
Manly Mart is the brainchild of the people behind Crafty Mart, a long-running alternative arts and craft show in Akron.

Need to satisfy your handmade obsession before June 8? Crafty Mart is hosting another show in Akron on June 1.
Mathias felt like something was missing at the shows he was attending. Although he knew a lot of men crafters, most of the stuff he was finding were made by and geared towards women.
So Crafty Mart decided to remedy that by highlighting all the men they know that make great arts and crafts.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect with Father’s Day right around the corner and Graduation season in full swing. Manly Mart will feature a variety of gifts for all interests.
Plus, it’s a good excuse to head down to Mahall’s Lanes. Everytime I go there I find I like it more and more, whether it’s to hit the lanes or just grab dinner and drinks.
Scott and I were there last night for fried chicken, burgers and Jars of Whiskey. You’ve got to love the simplicity of Old Overholt, Bulleit Rye, Jameson, bitters, and orange in a jar:
All 20 of Mahall’s lanes will be open during Manly Mart and local businesses like Joy Machine Bike Shop, The Cleveland Brew Shop, and My Mind’s Eye Records will be there with more cool stuff to buy. Plus, stick around after the show for a night of live music sponsored by Manly Mart.
Good food, drinks, bowling, music and crafts? Whether you’re a dude or a lady, there’s no reason to not stop by Manly Mart on June 8.
