Jak of All Trades Fest – Labor Day Weekend

When it comes to Cleveland success stories, the tale behind Jakprints is one of my favorites (here’s an article I love from last year’s Cleveland Scene). From seeing the need fellow musicians had for printed materials to developing a company that Harvard called one of “the top 100 U.S. companies…

Emerging Chefs' C4 at IngenuityFest 2011

After last year’s experience at IngenuityFest 2010, I’ve known I’d be attending this year’s IngenuityFest for months. Then I read the Plain Dealer sneak peek on some of the featured artists and that sealed the deal.   If you still need convincing, though, here’s yet another reason: Emerging Chefs’ C4 at Ingenuity For 4…

PlayhouseSquare's Free YP Night at the Cinema

One of my favorite summer series – PlayhouseSquare’s Cinema at the Square – starts up tonight with King Kong.  As much I enjoy spending the warm-weather months outdoors, sometimes I like escaping into the air conditioning, curling up in a theatre seat and getting engrossed in a movie. The Sunshine Boys at Porthouse Theatre

Last week, I posted about my first trip to Blossom Music Festival to see the Cleveland Orchestra. I don’t know what took me so long to get out to the summer concert hotspot, but Scott and I tried to make up for lost time by paying it a return visit this past weekend. In addition…

The Wait is Over – Noodlecat is Here!

The mystery started this Spring — iloveNoodlecat popped up on Facebook with Clevelanders ‘liking’ it’s enigmatic, noodle-slurping cat without knowing much else about it. A short time later, a youtube video of Noodlecat’s travels started making the rounds, revealing that a Jonathon Sawyer-helmed Japanese-styled noodle shop would open on Public Square this summer. Well, the wait…
