I’m going on a much-needed vacation — both a blog-cation and a real one.  While I’m gone, I have 3 stellar ladies lined up with guest posts — Poise in Parma, WhyCLE and HungryinCLE.

Although it’ll be good to relax for a week, there are plenty of things to look forward to when I get back – from the Greater Cleveland Flute Society recital, to the Jak of All Trades Fest and Emerging Chefs at Ingenuity.

First on my list, though, is Touch Supper Club’s Farm to Table Supper. The dinner is taking place at Stone Garden Farm in Richfield (2981 Southern Road) on Aug. 30.

The evening will start at 7pm with a fresh field to table dinner hosted by Touch Supper Club. Each course will include a different drink, and throughout the night, guests can enjoy Richfield-grown hand rolled cigars, live folk music and a bonfire. 

Stone Garden Farm is located in Richfield, Ohio (2981 Southern Road)

Set against the backdrop of the historic Stone Garden Farm, the event will be the perfect way to unwind from my first day back at work. I haven’t been to the farm yet so visiting it is one of the things I’m most excited about with the event (though the food and the cigars come in at a very close second!).

Stone Garden overlooks the always-beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park and features large organic gardens and free range pastures for humanely treated cows, milk goats, chickens and pigs.

Additionally, the family at Stone Garden has moved 37 historic buildings to the property to preserve them in a living history museum. Among other things, a blacksmith shop, one room schoolhouse, working sawmill, and woodworking shop can be found there. The historic general store building sells honey, maple syrup, eggs, cheese, organic produce, pumpkins and Christmas trees.

While guests partake in the fresh food and explore Stone Garden Farm, they’ll also have a chance to check out Touch Supper Club’s newest creation – the Touch Supper Truck.

Until then, I’ll be relaxing in Virginia with my family — my own version of a rural getaway. Poise in Parma, CLEgal and HungryinCLE wil be sharing some great things to clue into while I’m gone.
