I read this prior to your negative comment and had to take a look after your Clue Into#My7Links post and I have to say 1. “we are a miserable people” only applies to those who post anonymously because she can’t stand by her comment and 2. You do a great job blogging about CLE! You offered solutions and I hope they took the great feedback!

Had looked forward to this but unfortunately was out of town. I’ve had Dim and Dem Sum and StrEat (both so tasty!!) and well Babycakes is the place that provided cupcakes (and an Irish rum cake) for our wedding so love them.

There will always be complaints and ways to do things better. The effort and desire to be better (in what the provide and as a city) is there and it gives me hope.

we will def be at the next one.

They actually did something like this last year… Every Tuesday on Mall C during the month of June. Of course.. Cleveland did a terrible job of advertising and this year, well, there is no Mall C so hopefully they will repeat this in Tremont

For anyone who read this post and thought I was complaining:
I’m sorry you misinterpreted my post as being a solely negative review of the event.

I was hoping to balance constructive criticism and specific suggestions (such as incorporating tents to spread out the crowd or moving the entertainment closer to the trucks) with the fact that I very much support the idea and loved the food.

As I also mentioned numerous times throughout the above post, I look forward to supporting future Chow Downs because it’s an excellent idea that is in its early stages. Like any other new event, I understand it will continue to evolve and improve over time.

I always welcome any sort of constructive feedback on my blog and appreciate your comments.

I’m happy that there are other Clevelanders out there like me who feel very passionately for the city and always encourage sharing that pride on this site.

How negative! For someone’s who’s only been in Cleveland for 4 years, you need to learn that we are a miserable people, love the cold and we love our city to death. Maybe if you had some better solutions than just complaining about the lines and the cold, I could look into your blog again, but for now, you are an outlander who just complained about my city and must be told you 1. suck and 2. have no right to blog about Cleveland.
